Wedding season begins!

February has been an amazing month thus far.  It has flown by, partially because I have been so busy!  I have been in Arab, Auburn, and Birmingham in the past 3 weeks.  My month off from rotations has been anything but relaxing, but it’s been very productive!

Justin, my brother, turned 21!!

The same weekend, Daniel and I had the opportunity to be D-NOW leaders for our church in Arab.  I helped lead the high school girls!  We had a great time, and I hope that I was able encourage them to grow stronger in their walk with Christ.  The weekend was on purity.

Daniel and I celebrated his 24th birthday!  This is the last birthday that we will celebrate together before we are married!

Unfortunately, we celebrated most of the day by discussing what color to paint and the plan for his (soon to be our) kitchen!  I thought that I would be a sweet fiancĂ© and paint for him.  Especially, considering this was all my idea in the first place.  Day 1 (his birthday) – I spent it sanding, cleaning, and puttying the walls.  We finished off the night by going out to dinner and celebrating his birthday!

Day 2 (Valentine's Day)– I was hoping to finish all the painting before he got home from classes and then we could spend time together celebrating.  However, when he walked in I was about to finish up trimming.  He joined in on the fun and we finished coat number 1!  We cleaned up and then he grilled and I cooked in the freshly painted kitchen! We enjoyed grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, and salad for our Valentine’s Day dinner!
Day 3    The kitchen is finished!!!

I can’t wait to cook with him in our kitchen!

This past weekend we were able to celebrate with some of my friends at the marriage of Corey and Kayla!  I have known this couple since I moved to Birmingham!  Kayla has become one of my dear friends, and I could not be happier for the two of them!  Thank you Kayla for asking me to be a part of your wonderful day!  I can’t wait to see what God has in store for this amazing couple!

As of tomorrow, we will be 90 days away from our big day!
